Boosting Employee Productivity
I recently came across an article on Call Center Cafe titled “Five Reasons for a Lack of Productivity.” The article outlines five top reasons for a lack of maximum productivity from employees, including:
- Lack of supervision
- Insufficient training
- Exclusion from the decision-making process
- No reward for good performance
- No opportunity for advancement
The article argues that engaging employees in business processes — from involving them in major decisions to providing training and mentors — will positively impact morale and productivity. In addition, demonstrating to employees that there is an opportunity for recognition and advancement, regardless of the timeframe, will motivate employees to perform at optimum levels.
With distractions like “Cyber Monday” and holiday festivities looming on the horizon, what can you do now to engage your employees and to boost productivity? Communicating with employees and providing enrichment opportunities, like training with live customer interactions and call recordings, can help increase confidence, morale, and employee productivity.
How are you helping your employees to perform at their highest level?
