Happy Customer Service Week!

National Customer Service Week takes place the first week of October every year and is an opportunity to celebrate the front-line staff that are regularly surprising and delighting your customers. Customer service teams are the lifeblood of many companies, helping retain customers through random acts of service.

How are you celebrating Customer Service Week? Companies like Avanta and Northeast Delta Dental have publicly expressed their appreciation for their customer service employees, and have announced plans to hold employee celebrations throughout the week.

If you don’t have budget or aren’t directly involved in your company’s customer service efforts, perhaps you could drop by your customer service team’s area and thank them for their tireless efforts on the telephone and through e-mail to keep customers happy. Or, as you’re making one of your regular purchases at a coffee shop or grocery store, you could express your gratitude to the sales person.
